Things to Do in Phoenix Arizona
The Phoenix area has grown into a major city with all of the major conveniences. Yet we still have reasonable access to all sporting events and concerts. Plus the natural beauty that surrounds us give us plenty of outdoor activities to keep us busy.
Arizona Camping
What better way to beat the summer heat than to head to the cooler mountains, pitch a tent and enjoy the great outdoors. Camping and outdoor like the red rocks of Sedona are all a short drive from the valley.

Our Cardinals have rejoined the NFL with their emergence back into the competitive ranks of NFL football.
Arizona Music Concerts
The Phoenix Music Scene has grown considerably with all the major concerts stopping in Phoenix. Downtown Phoenix has the Dodge Theater and America West Arena. Tempe has smaller venues and plenty of college bars with live music. The new Glendale complex also brings in top headlines. And if you need a fix of lounge music, our nearby casinos can fill in.
Arizona Diamondbacks and Major League Baseball
Downtown Phoenix is the home to our Arizona Diamondbacks and the BOB. Bank One Ballpark as it was originally named will be called the BOB for a while still. Known for its retractable roof and the spa pool in the outfield, baseball is great summer time activity. Bring the kids to a Sunday afternoon game and they get to run the bases after the game.
Arizona Fishing & Boating
Although we live in the desert, water abounds with our man made reservoirs and lakes. And thanks to the Arizona Fish and Game department our lakes offer great fishing through out the year.
Golf Courses of Arizona
Phoenix has always been known for our Golf Courses. With 70 degree days during winter, what better place to spend an afternoon then out on the course. From public courses to some of the best golf instruction schools in the world, its a great place to pick up the game. We also have some of the most exclusive golf course communities in the world.
Hiking Trails in Arizona
From every vantage point in the Valley of the Sun you see our surrounding mountains which provide natural beauty and many challenging hiking trails. Head out of town a bit further and the trained eye can lead you to hiking trails past Indian ruins or ghost towns. For the less adventurous, many new communities now build in walking trails. The natural beauty always calls us outside.
Site Seeing Across Arizona
From the Grand Canyon to Hot Air Ballooning, Arizona has some of the most breath-taking sites to been seen in the entire world. But Phoenix area residents enjoy the gorgeous views of our Sonoran desert paradise on a daily basis. Arizona Site Seeing

The Phoenix Suns as one of the elite teams in the NBA. The downtown arena provides great entertainment throughout the winter. We fully expect to be celebrating a championship in June.
Arizona Theater and Plays
Downtown Phoenix and the Herberger Theater offer a number of theater productions throughout the nine month season. Tempe's Gammage Theater brings us Off Broadway shows throughout the year. Scottsdale and other areas also provide theaters for the performing arts that give us opportunities to enjoy the Performing Arts.
Arizona Water Parks
What to do with the family in the summer in Arizona? Cool off at one of the valley water parks, and we’ve included some here. Don’t be put off by fact that some are located at resorts. With summer deals, the price for a family of 4 to stay overnight at a resort may be comparable to the cost of 4 admissions to a stand-alone water park. Phoenix Water Slide Parks
